Saniderm / Second Skin
Saniderm is a medical grade, waterproof, breathable tattoo bandage used like a second skin. Used properly it dramatically reduces the chance of infection.

It's a wet heal
Saniderm traps blood, ink and plasma inside the bandage, isolating the tattoo and promoting a faster heal.

An "ink bubble" is normal
Your bandage may fill with fluid depending on how much tattooing was done. This is perfectly normal and expected.

Wear it 5 to 7 days
Saniderm can stay on the skin for 5 to 7 days to keep the tattoo isolated and protected.

If it leaks, take it off
If the bandage begins to leak at any time, remove it immediately, wash with antibacterial soap, and begin the traditional aftercare routine.

Remove it the right way
Find an edge and pull the bandage back over itself in the direction of hair growth. Pulling upward can be painful and is not recommended.

Stuck bandage? Warm it up
Some people stick to the bandage more than others. Remove it in a warm shower to loosen the adhesive, or apply coconut oil to the edges to help it release.

Listen to your body
Reactions can happen. If the bandage becomes uncomfortable, or the skin becomes irritated or inflamed, remove it immediately, wash with antibacterial soap, and switch to traditional care.
Totally normal
- • Blood, ink and plasma pooling under the bandage
- • An "ink bubble" forming over a heavily tattooed area
- • A cloudy or dark look through the film
Call the studio if
- • The bandage is leaking
- • Skin around the bandage is irritated or inflamed
- • The bandage becomes uncomfortable or itchy
- • Anything about the heal has you unsure
